No,I think your decision on the pillar was good. It gave a bit of extra balance. I also appreciate the lid down...for me, the shiny surfaces are dazzling. All the polished light and those long distinct shadows mix perfectly.

Nice ballance between a dark instrument and a lighter windowframes in a back. Have a quet athmosphere, with the open piano might would be a different mood. I like it like that even with a pilar in it too.

Amazing art work!

Both or neither, because nobody would play a grand piano with the lid down, and there's no reason to have the lid up if the keys aren't available. That being said, I love it closed up! It seems to fit the mood of the empty space and the bleak (snowy?) landscape outside. Everything feels sort of inward looking, quiet, sort of pensive. With the piano open, one would expect the silence to be broken, people to walk in: perhaps the cleaning crew, a piano tuner, the events coordinator, everyone's voices echoing in the empty space. No ... I like it closed. And the pillar is great. It provides an architectural clue that gives the angled pillars meaning. Awesome image!

" How I miss you darling?.......". Who will set her free from being captive. Why nobody sees her agony?.... I love this mood.
