"the best B&W on the site"—yes! But of course your B&W's are filled with gradations and subtle in-betweens. This is a winter dream, trees as brushes against the sky; and the dissolve in the background lets the background trees come through as ghosts. Fog is one of the few phenomena that makes the background lighter than the foreground; and you captured that essence here. And, in your usual fashion, you allowed several fallen branches into the shot, the imperfections that give music to your shots. Very gentle & mysterious, and a symphony in many grays...

Like roots growing upside down into the sky. Wonderful.

да... прозрачный занавес тумана - вроде и видно сквозь него, но обманчивы бывают те видения... вот действительно, эта работа - фото-настроение

this is such a beautiful view, nikolay, the atmosphere is so uncertain by the haze, yet it comforts, the trees completes it so wonderfullly, love it!
