Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Once in awhile I wind up listening to something while driving that I probably wouldn't normally hear. I had that experience not long ago. It was a program aimed at relationships between men and women. Point being made, was men...stop trying to fix something your wife or lady friend brings up. She doesn't want your snappy, fix-it solution. She wants you to just listen. Let her process the issue. Your "Talking" makes the point perfectly. See I am listening... Bill:)

Brings back memories of the old Bee Gee's hit, 'Jive Talking.' Pic is perfect companion to the narrative.

Yadda yadda yadda. LOL@PD154! A study was released some months ago indicating women speak 20,000 words a day; men 7,000. What a surprise! I wonder how much lucre they spent on that surprising revelation. Years ago I had a boss that kept mentioning something about being injected with a phonograph needle. Of course, 20,000 words may very well be a conservative estimate. I know I fall far short of speaking 7,000. In fact, I type more words than I speak. Anyway, thank you for the droll commentary, Marilyn.

Great piece. Is that what they call a composite picture? It's a very cool way of presenting. Love the words. Usually when I get home and replay the conversation in my head, it's accompanied by at least two, " Did I say that out louds"

I have concluded, people who talk a lot, are thinking aloud. I've also concluded, common, women are more apt to do this; because we are given permission to do so at very young age, as we watch our mothers do it. (Just a thought.) P.S. I discovered the art of listening from watching my dog. Personally, I prefer to listen while thinking to myself. Yet, I am glad I am skilled at thinking aloud too. So, thank you mom and thank you too for sharing I've enjoyed my visit.
