Description

It was just after sunrise and I walked under the Huntington Beach Pier. This surfer was winding his way thru the posts on his way to his next wave. The glow was amazing, though of course, I helped it a bit!

Maybe Governor Arnold could sell off the pier and pay the state's bills? Cool shot. here is a case where the surfer rally does add a sense of proportion. Great shot.

FABULOSO! It is like the amazing railway posters we had here in Britain in the 50's!! (only they didn't have surfers in them!) I think it is one of the most stunning images I've seen her on RR!!

there's postwork, but piers can almost look like this, at least where I live. (I know, Lake Michigan is a pond compared to what you see everyday, but still...) The way you've treated the piers, they almost look like something from a sci-fi film, or huge breadsticks! And that's the surfer? I hope he's planning to get a weeeee bit further out—not a great place to surf the tube, dude, you're liable to hit your head! Another exuberant shot of your environs, if I never get to the coast, I'll at least have seen it in your gallery! (I'm telling you, those look like bread sticks. You should put out some butter...)

Arnie wouldn't sell off the pier, he'd just blow it up with Claymores :)...Great shot and the gold enhancing postwork did a fine job!

HB pier never looked so good! I've only ever seen it gray, and gray, and dark gray...and I spent a LOT of time there in my youth. Great shot!

The scale represented here with the pilings versus the surfer is amazing. Now I realize just how massive these things really are. Great morning shot.

Those golden piers of sunny southern california... where the beach blanket babes and hunky Moon-doggies hang ten, achieving the dream of every red-blooded American boy and girl... LOL The golden glow is really stellar. I used to hang out here years back and I was surprised to see they are allowing the surfers to ride so close to the pilings. A million years ago, when I first started going there, the place was crazy with signs saying to stay away, and there were beach patrols that lectured you on how far to the side you had to remain at all times. Amazing shot!

Is there anything MrsLubner hasn't done or anywhere she hasn't been? Stellar gold ambiance indeed, along with terrific clarity, lighting and terrific water effects in this spectacular shot, Marilyn!

The warmth of the sun is almost palpable! What a lovely AM walk. I have piles of dirt covered snow and trash barrels that the wind has blown chasing me down the street!
