This works for me--all those nifty surfaces don't need much of a back, though if you really needed something you can check out the Hubble heritage for some cool starfields/galaxies/nebulas;-)

Awesome outfit and pose, i think the background is fine but if you want something else i'd suggest some alien/ barren landscape. Excellent work!

actually, i think this simple background that is a part of the scene is a lot more striking than the photo backgrounds with entirely unmatched lighting. i think if the color were different, then the figures might stand out more. i love the textures and the materials, and i think it would be great if the background contrasted a bit more and made them stand out. you've developed your materials to a very strong and consistent style. the pose is interestingly melancholy.

I think that this is a great background. If you want a more, gritty industrial feel, try using one of the dystopian sets which are available and pose them within the scene.
