Description

View from deck 9 down to the piano lounge/bar on deck 3 on the Carnival 'Liberty'. The color of the lights changes constantly, chandeliers are Murano glass. Visible on the left side is one of four glass-enclosed elevators that operate between deck 10 and deck 2. The interior shots taken with this camera are not exactly to my liking, but I took them anyway to test the camera and my ability to operate the camera. Most shots are not as crisp as I would have liked them, but overall this is a fine, small, easy to carry camera, especially suited nicely for air travel. I don't think I have read and figured out all the options available to take various pictures. I only purchased that camera two days earlier. This picture was taken on 24 January 2009. I thinking of getting a pocket camera too for just that reason. Look like it takes good shots. I know it will not be as the big camera but it still have it place. cool shot

Cool shot here Sig. I'm ready for the piano bar...it is just a couple of minutes before 5pm here:) Most places I go I have no problem with my DSLR but mine weighs half as much as most of the competition. I've failed to "carry" in the past when my camera was to big and heavy. But I still value my pocket point and shoot for those times I want to blend into the woodwork. It does great up close but suffers when I'm in the landscape hunting mode...just lacks detail and resolution at greater distances. Plus, if the truth were known, I like fiddling with all the gadgets of a DSLR.

Both types have limitations...but generally both can take really nice images...depending on the situation...like all the colors in this shot..

Stunning! Camera works well in that light. Impressive. I've not had the chance, and never will, to try out my beauty in such places. Hey Ho! Got picture on Ocean Village with and old 35mm Nikon. Don't know what they would look like..... Great shots, my friend. Looks like it was a great Cruise. Rob.
