Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

sweet work my friend!

(this has nothing to do with the image, but I'm all caught up! I was absent for a week, and I finally caught up with your gallery! A red-letter day for me!) Ok, getting back to you...an imposing hawk, a bold angle, and you put it against a simple bold background. (Very Japanese, in the simple sky & that big bold moon.) A noble capture which makes us respect the power of a bird; and I like the rich 'cascade' of the feathers. Your lighting made them feel very rich. Very bold shot, you surrounded the hawk well & nobly...

I see the future For lunch today I will eat A photographer BobbiJo inspired me to write a haiku for this. It may not be as noble as Mark's vision, but hey ... I just got up.
