Another piece of industrial archaeology from the Dinorwic slate quarry, which I believe closed in 1968 or 1969.

To me this image has portrayed the feelings of old & new, which I find fascinating! Old, being the tones used, and new, the sharp clarity of a digital camera. excellent details as well!! Finally decided to take a minute to check out your gallery. I really like this - excellent, moody photo! I grew up near an abandoned and fenced-off slate quarry in Pennsylvania and used to sneak in and explore, so this sort of brings back memories. :-)
