Description
This was the worst friday the 13th scenerio that could possibly happen - as far as me and Renderosity.
I have had an electrical connection problem with my computer for the last year... after uploading BONDAGE: II "X" yesterday on FRIDAY THE 13TH, I lost all power. Apparrently the electical jack on my computer was lose and finally moved enough to where it does not work. I removed some parts to see that that is the problem. I contacted Dell and it appears I'm going to have to pay around $500 to fix it... I don't have it... and I don't see me getting it...
...So... THIS IS GOOD BYE... My Wife has a computer, but she uses it all the time, I can not use it. I will have to repair my computer.
THE COMPUTER I USE:
DELL INSPIRON 2200
I have been searching the net for parts. Dell says I need Part #DC766
After looking for 3 hours, I have to get off the computer... I'll call locall areas and see what I can find.
If you know of a link for parts, please leave it in my comments...
AS FAR AS THE BONDAGE STORY??? I could tell you what was going to happen, but... I think this is a fitting conclusion until I can come back which may be a long time from now...
ENDING OF BONDAGE: II - - - - Redips the ship malfunctions just like my computer and is stranded in Hell... A very sad and Horrible ending, but it's true... without my computer, I can't make the next two scenes... So, that is a fitting end to the story and me

Sorry Mike this has happened to you. Maybe someone on Rendo has parts. I wish I could help you. I will ask acouple of friends who are into computer and see what they have to say about it. Miss you? Never! Great scene btw.

Sorry to hear about more bad luck. I know you have been having a tough go of it lately and this has got to suck! That $500 to fix does not sound right, but then Dell is Dell so maybe that's what they charge. Could buy a new desktop computer at that price or less, maybe even find a deal on another laptop at that price. Probably just needs a solder job to reconnect the power jack. You can probably find a local electronic/computer guy in your area who can do the work for under a $100.

NOOOooooOOoooOOooo! This is as bad as the Bondage story! Could it GET any worse?? Keeping fingers crossed that there is a cheap fix. Seems to me there are enough folks here that are computer techinically oriented that someone could have a solution for you. I wish I knew something, I'd be more then happy to share anything I knew. Sadly .. I know little to nothing. Very sad posting. Very sucky Friday the 13th. Wishing all kinds of good things your way, everything from jobs to computer parts to new computers.

I lost mine too and then when I got a new one the net wouldn't work and we had to spend hours on the phone with Dell and Verizon who blamed each other. The funny thing is that each had a problen-bad motherboard and bad box, but it's good now. Hurry back Mike, you will be missed and happy Valentine's day.......LOL

Brilliant image. Certainly conveys your frustration. Hopefully you and your wife can work out a time share arrangement on the PC until your PC is fixed.

Mike, Mike, Mike... I feel your pain, but fear not little brother. There's a Dell repair man around somewhere, and you'll be back on the air in no time. Good looking image that you managed to coax out of your broken computer, though.

first off do you have any friends in IT second go to Ebay and thirdly join a credit union it dont know it you have them where you live but we have them here and its the best way to com up with cash and pay back is so easy. nice picture by the way.

That really sucks! Gotta say that price seems unrealisticly high but that's Dell for ya. Hope a solution comes about quick and cheap. In the meantime I'll pull up a seat and wait for the BONDAGE II conclusion.

I had some bad luck on 13th too, my windows was missing file misteriously and wouldn't boot without cd.

You need a new Power supply. Depending on the watts, they are pretty cheap. Cute render!

I wish a power supply was all I needed - LOL... It's the jack inside the computer that is broke... I've been told it is connected to the Motherboard and the motherboard has to be replace - DELL says. I'm goint to call some repair and parts places this next week... Hopefully I can get something going on on the repairs. I landed a low paying job today, but it's a good start considering I've only been interviewed a hand full of times the last few months. I have no idea how long I'll be gone, but I do LOVE this place... I love it because I hadn't realized I didn't know any artist in my life for over 20 years... It is so inspiring to me to talk to others with my ambitions of doing art. "I'LL BE BACK!"... Maybe even before efron_241,rainbowgirl,rblue... LOL

First of all I make computers for a living, and dell simply put sucks lamo. Let me know how much you can spend my friend. I can build you a nice unit or get you a refurbished tower for a hell of a lot less than 500 lol.
