Description
I'm not around much, so I'm posting older works... This was from my 'map' series: I ripped Japanese paper, soaked it, dyed the edges, used pencils & inks and sprinkled dried-watercolors all over it, then sprayed. (My grandfather would say, "from this I'd get a headache!") Hope you enjoy!!

AWWW! It has all the beautiful colors I love so much...hmm It would really have been gorgeous on that HUGE canvas I am working on these days, instead of what I am doing with it. This is exquisite and I adore it. I am so amazed by these maps you are creating, Mark. FAV !

Mark this is lovely and one I am so thrilled you shared with us. It's so easy to see the time and caring that you put into this to get this kind of detailing. You truly breathed life into a map like few can

What a creative venture into the world of maps. I appreciate your notes concerning the how-you-did-it activities. The major river flowing from top to bottom right through the center of your image brings a unity to the whole project for me. And the ripped edges..., a sense of the texture of old map paper. Water colors...wonderful flow... My map appreciation grows out of a collection of every issue of National Geographic from issue #1, dated October 1888 to present. As you can imagine, that's a lot of maps:)
