Description

Arc, the herbalist's son, had made his place in the troll clan long ago with the end of the tale of Isa. The lone survivor of an epic journey, he reaped the rewards of the retelling of the legend. He has since grown into a fierce warrior and a mightly summoner. One of the community serfs looks on with fear as Arc pulls forth the power of the light from the campfire. **** Been a long while since my trolls and the Tale of Isa. I was just revisiting them in my gallery and was inspired to do another image. Use Arc here, since he was the lone survivor from the tale. **** Had a problem here and would love some help. I rendered the original image in Vue6I. Saved the image as a .bmp. When I open it in IrfanView or XaraXtreme, it looks fine, but when I open it in my main photo program (PSPXI) it looks pixelated and my effects didn't work or look right. I ended up making the image look too dark (I think...not sure) because of the effect I was getting inside my PaintShopProXI with all the pixelation. Same image, when I was done reworking, looks fine in the other programs but not in PSPXI. I need to know what it looks like. I would like to know why it's looking pixelated only in PSP and how I can reset defaults. My favorite brush effects (dodge and burn at 0 percent hardness and 12 percent opacity) did not work correctly. They seemed to be applied at 100 percent hardness and 100 percent opacity. Anyone have an idea what's going on? Help!

Nancy I love this image as it is so detailed and your effects with that flame are amazing. The story added to it so much and made it complete

Fantastic fire effects Nancy. You can see a sense of pride in Arc's face as he wields his craft with the camp fire.

A production of press qualda my friend, work that involves perfect ambiance and references in the text. Magnificent achievement, Applause (5) PS: Regarding the problem that describes, unfortunately I can not say, does it work in Photoshop. Vue depending in which demand and capacity of rendering the PC I have something similar occurred.

The image posted here looks absolutely fine. The lighting and FX are superb and not too dark at all, it's a splendid piece of work. I use Irfanview as my main viewer since it's the fastest and easiest and haven't seen that problem but I don't use PSP so not sure about the settings but in my PhotoShop program I do have a couple effects that just seem to have stopped working right and am thinking of uninstalling and ReInstalling it because they used to work. Peace

This is not too dark. It's perfect, it's a night time scene, so if were lighter, it wouldn't look right. I'm not sure what the problem would be, but maybe you do need to uninstall and reinstall PSP. Dunno. Hope you figure it out. I love the Trolls! I'm a big fan of critters! You did this beautifully, it's exactly how it should look by campfire light, awesome!! And I'm faving it, so there. (-:

Wonderful image in my opinion. I have PSP 7 and 9 but I usually stay with .tif most of the time except to convert to .jpeg for uploads. I've not observed your problem otherwise.

I notice the final image here is 1409 x 1193. When you load it into PSP, is it still this size or is PSP automatically resizing it? Peter
