Description

Within a decade after the end of Humanity's First Interstellar War ambitions continued to grow, and plans were made for actual terraforming of planets. To that end, stations were placed around a number of worlds to study them for potential as terraforming projects. These stations were usually sparsely manned, mostly transfer points for operations on the planet, or temporary housing while the data from unmanned satellites was compiled for detailed analysis. -------- It's been a while since I've done a station. The model was made in Bryce, and was mostly a means of testing some new textures I cooked up in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Planet, Stars and nebula as well as compositing was all done in Photoshop. Thanks for taking a look, and have a great weekend.

amazing realism in a sci-fi setting! Ship is excellent, and wonderful texturing on the planet.

Nice clean lines on the station! You are really getting the modeling in Bryce down. The textures are also looking great. I am glad that you and few others here are still trying to push Bryce to its limits. We all know that this program was never design to do what we are doing. You and a few others here are showing what the potential of this program can be in capable hands. I only wish that DAZ would either decide to finally make the program what we all hope that it would be or just sell it to someone that will. What makes Bryce so fun to use is how easily anyone can grasp the basics of the program and create something in just a few hours. Too bad that the powers to be just don’t seem to get it and this is what’s so frustrating. They can say what they want but, Bryce in the right hands can produce excellent results! You, Geirla, TheBryster, kjer_99, greywolfe1960, rj001, rjay9663, RobertJ, and helix3d just to name a few shows the tremendous potential of this program with every post! I guess time will tell what the future is for Bryce, I just hope that DAZ pays attention to us and what we all see in this program. Cheers, David

Excellent modelling as always, like the panel array and the textures are great. The subdued background pallette is a nice touch, the sepia-like tones draw more emphasis to the ship...well done!

I like the way you take some fairly basic primitives and then make them look a lot more complicated than they are. This looks like it could be a planetary "greenhouse" for seed and plant stock.
