Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love it Marilyn! The climate is not warm enough for Orange or lemon trees here in the UK so when I saw them over in Spain I was photographing them all lol, it is such a joy to see them in everyones garden. The house/villa we stayed (with friends who spend the winter there every year) had avacado's oranges and pomegranites growing. !

I love what you've done to the colours!

ala Andrea, it really is filled with beautiful hues, and by putting several out-of-focus, they come at us like abstract patches. One of the branches stands out in rich reddish golds, and the lemon has a reddish tint too...The mystery of the garden & grove, all those forms & hues swimming around when suddenly something emerges: I think this is beautiful.

AHA! Gotcha! Great capture of the recalcitrant lemon...what were you going to do with all of them?

Lemons are such cool things--there's apparently a group on facebook for lemon lovers. Anyway, enough of that. GREAT color! But you always capture such rich and complex splashes of color. I love the DOF in this one, as well as the sensual qualities of it...you can virtually smell and touch this image, and the hiding lemon is a nice touch!

Lemony Snickets, indeed. Neat focus in this shot of the coy and shy lemon, Marilyn!

Stayed in a place once in FLA where you could pick your OJ on the terrace in the AM. There was a juicer next to the coffee maker! Great colours here, one wonders how anything that colour could hide.
