Description
My local reserve with very diverse habitat. The disused sand quarry has become a haven for so many birds, animals, wild plants and flowers.
Heathland, deciduous and pine woods with of course large lakes and reedbeds. It has a bench to sit and relax on every 200 yards or so. Yesterday when I called in and took this image, an (Ermine) Stoat was on a hunting prowl. The winter fur, loved as edging to royal robes is not common outside the very north of the UK.
He certainly looks handsome in his full white coat and black tipped tail. I didn't get a picture I am sorry to say!

Yep, whatever land people abandon, animals move into. I like the sea of grasses blowing in the wind.

Absolute joy to see that a corner of England is still a green and pleasent land, so much development in London now we can hardly move for damned cranes and cement mixers.
