WoW!!! Is the formation really that close or did you use a clone brush :) Great work Bill.

After reading Emil-arts comment, I wondered. There are subtle differences in the cockpits and port stabilizers. Rare scene.

I assume there's an art to aerial photography in land or in air; and this seems to capture part of it because the planes, though airborne, seem almost suspended, like toys; and even though they're readying for a landing it's still amazing to see them look almost still, almost like a dog in your arms just as you approach the floor (its legs & body arched & ready to jump). For me, a very clear and almost still shot. I like this capture a lot. (I assume only someone very familiar with flight could even know how to get this moment; most people probably wouldn't know the moment was approaching...)

Hi bill! First thing I noticed when this opened on my screen were the clouds! So, you did it! Well done. Next trick, slightly more difficult I find, is to do the same with the clouds and bring out the colours on the planes as well.....without losing cloud effects! Great picture, my friend and thanks for the info. Have to wonder, whats a current US truck doing in civil ownership in the UK? Threw me! Rob.

Beautiful shot, clouds vs aircraft great contrast. Seeing the peacefulness of the birds its hard to realize they are moving over 140 mph... Your capture makes me think immediately of Flight Officer Magee's "High Flight" Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of ....... http://www.deltaweb.co.uk/spitfire/hiflight.htm.. Good memories, good times, thanks Cheers, Skipper

Why do they look so familiar ? :) Thanks again for the help Bill. Is it just the angle or is the bottom right one a 2 seater??. As said above stunning work on the clouds.

Super POV to catch the F-16s, in perfect formation, coming in for a landing, Bill! Like the cloud background also.

Hi Bill, thanks for the nice compliments and for visiting my gallery. I admired your opening picture right away of you standing next to the Harrier. This photograph reminds me of the pictures my son sent when he flew an F16 in an Air Show up in Alaska. He's in the Air Force and has made it a career. He will be stopping by for a few days in between transferring to a NC base. So thanks again for dropping by and keep adding to that nice gallery of yours. Richard
