Everyone likes the quiet monster
Because they don't see
What I see
When everyone is around
He is so nice
He pats me on the head
And everyone thinks he loves me
Every time he pats my head
Fear runs through me
I know he can feel the fear
I think that makes him like it more
As bad as it is
I am afraid it will get even worse
If I try to say anything
So I try to run and play
Act like everything is ok
But when it's late at night
And everyone is asleep
My bedroom door opens
And the quiet monster comes inside
