I remember choosing photography in the 4th grade as an elective. I got the books, read them, got excited and was ready to go! I had one problem, I didnt have a camera! So, through the years I had a few cameras but only used it for family and vacation pictures, it seemed I was always in a big hurry and didnt really get any personal hobbies off the ground. I truly enjoy being creative. I am looking into interior design as a profession but im not quite sure if its going to fit into our budget. I will keep you updated as it unfolds.
Recently, I was finally taught (through unfortunate events)that its imperative that I slow down and enjoy the things that I really enjoy (photography being one of them).
My father in law "Jocko500" bought my husband and I a brand new digital camera as a wedding gift. I am at a point in my life finally that I can venture out and explore the things ive always wanted to do! Im very excited to get started!

she's quite beautiful and has a very sweet smile.. this is a great candid and has excellent leading lines into the face with the extended arm and shoulder.. very nice.. the lighting appears to have been quite harsh that day and i think you did a wonderful job of getting such great detail in her face.. good depth of field allowing her to be the sole impact and not compete with the background noise.. Monica..

Thank you all very much! This is my friend's daughter Kate. She is 15 yrs old! Who would have thought that?? I am so glad to be back and hope to post more very soon! I am trying my hand at portraits as it is seeming to be quite a challenge! Thanks for all the comments.
