UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great shot!!! Puts me even more in the mood to head back to the lake... Looks as if the rubber boat at the end of the dock could stand a bit of air. ;-) Cheers and pats to Mandy Skipper

The first and last time when I've been in ME was in april '95... I loved that place and I said in my mind that one day I'll come back, but so far I didn't have the chance to do it... Excellent shot, Bill!

A tranquil scene by the lagoon. disturbed only by the slow 'farting' sound coming from the rubber dingy on the right!!!!! Lol. That joke apart! Sorry! a beautiful scene that kind of draws me in. Time for a visit to the sea I think. Great picture, Bill. Rob.

oh nice Bill, the boats are very vivid and clear against the dark deep blues & the shadows. They 'speak' very well, very articulately. I was in Maine several times, and if this is on the ocean, don't those boats wind up on dry land in about 6 hours? I just remember the tides & if you blinked, a whole lot of ocean disappeared...Anyway, it's not just at ease in the military sense: The shot itself is easeful. Very nice work. Well seen.

Great image. Nice POV, and the boats create a wonderful pattern.

All I need is a parasol and someone to row me around. :) Okay, okay, let me change out of this fluffy dress and into a pair of jeans, and I'll row. It was a nice fantasy!

These could almost be toy boats for a bath :) Wonderful scene Bill and a good reminder that none of us own the earths natural beauty.

Stellar POV, sharp clarity, reflections and mood ambiance in this super maritime shot, Bill! As for "At Ease," the last time I heard that was when a lieutenant entered our barracks when I was in the Army.
