Description

A version of this shot in portrait format. Taken at sunrise looking out over the North Sea in Anstruther, Fife. I handled the processing/colours a different way for this edit and think I prefer it.. thoughts? Enjoy your evening! Adam P.S. for those interested this is a result of the 'exposure blending' feature in Photomatix 3... I tried twice to edit the shot as hdr, combining the exposures and tonemapping, before realising blending was definitely the way to go for this... the colours are truer, the exposure more even, there are no halos, less noise is generated and the exposure is more even across the scene. For those looking for a natural alternative to hdr or grads, dare I say this could be the answer? It's certainly a blessing for shooting into the sun at any rate ;)

Capturing such a magical and most beautiful light is far from being that easy and you've done it once more so wonderfully. This photo is simply enthralling and conveys a lot to me. Brilliant, Adam!
