Description

Captured 2/19/09, very early in the morning, about .80 miles/1.287 kilometers from my preturnatural place. This overpass spans across the 5 Interstate freeway, which traverses the west coast of the United States from the Mexican border to virtually the Canadian border. The top shot offers an interesting display of shadows along the right wall. The bottom pic represents what one might refer to as "tunnel vision." Better viewed full size. As you can see, the overpass is more than adequately enclosed to prevent would-be jumpers from ending their sorrowful lives on the concrete below, and/or feral youths (hooligans, taggers, gangbangers) from hurling blocks of concrete or rocks onto the passing traffic below. Thankx for clicking on, and have an uninhibited hump day.

Looks like where ever you live on the world, cities battle with a same attitude of ppl. We have "heavy armoured" overpasses too. Those individuals find so much fun causing accidents and many fatality by throwing rocks at us drivers. Sad world we live in. Suicidals here jumps bridges...back to the shots. 1st shot wonderful warm light on the mess screen, 2nd shot just love the pulling effect. Good one Harry.

Nice shadows in the first image, and a warm tropical feel with the palm tree. Great geometry and depth in the second image... superb pov leading the eye through the tunnel of steel and concrete. Well seen and taken, Harry! :)

They have these here where I live so people don't throw stuff at the cars! Nice warm light!

I like how the chain link fencing on the top drapes like fishing net (probably from said feral youths hanging on it!), even though I know exactly how stiff and heavy it is. Wonderful lines and perspective on both of these shots!

Very nice Harry. I like the shadows on the first and the "depth" of the second one. Nice work.

This does make me mad though...looks like the idiots have walked across the top causing the chain link to sag. So, net result...they just have to lug their concrete blocks up a little higher. I'm sure this helps...but it is the age old offense, defense, etc., etc. What low lifes!!! Sorry, Harry for going off a bit.

Goes all the way to the Canadian border! Wonderful pov on both these shots, and I couldn't say which I like best. They're both excellent!
