Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Fabulous shot! I love your seaside pics, Bill, it must be the salt in my blood!

Wonderful shot. Wonder if the fellow standing on the Jetty next to the Marker has caught any fish? Big ships or small, it's always good to come back to port, but in the back of the "Old Salts" mind who are on board there is always the pleasant thought of, cast off the lines, back to the sea. Keep em coming, Like Durleybeachbum, I got salt in my blood. Cheers Skipper

Another excellent shot...!!!!

Great capture Bill, I like how the gulls are buzzing the boat in a hopeful fashion of a scrap or two.

Great image with all the many shadings of blue. Nice partial frame with the jetty. The boat is coming in at a good clip: reminds me of "channel fever" that would break out the last day of a long voyage - crew would turn giddy with anticipation, lots of smiles.

Well composed Bill. Nice!

Great view, Bill!

Beautiful capture. A nice day and the bits of red and yellow add to anticipation that the catch has been a good one.

A great photo. I sure could go for some lobster!

Oh! This is so wonderful. I clicked open the image, felt the cold sea air and heard the gulls immediately. I don't know how you provided that effect, my friend, but it was quite amazing!
CavalierLady
Very nicely done, Bill, views of the a state and portion of the Atlantic I've never had the pleasure to see. Hopefully you got to sample some of that really fresh lobster!

A capture with a story. Forest Gump came on mind... a rich man's weather and a wonderful feel!

I love this, and the gulls following the boat remind me of my fishing trip with my brother last fall. I had to empty out the bait tank of the last few anchovies and those gulls probably snagged every single one!! Great shot!!

Nice shot Bill! I like the pale blue sky! I'll take a tail or two! :)

This has a great nautical flavor it in. Wonderful water AND boat action.

Superlative shot of everything depicted in this stellar photograph, Bill! Love the ocean textures. Incidentally, isn't this George Herbert Walker Bush's stomping grounds?

Another stunning and indeed, beautiful picture, Bill! And that would be me who asked that a while back. I read in a Prelude in one of His books, something like 'I'm sitting here in Maine....etc'. you get the idea! Obviously didn't want to give his exact postal town away. Keep 'em coming mate. Love the sea shots! Rob.

The colour of the water is wonderful to my eyes, I live near a river which looks a murkey muddy colour. Great shot Bill, hugs Jane xx

Captured a good sense of a steady speed as the boat cuts through the water, great seascape and pov! I'm not much of a reader of books but years back I would enjoy a good 'King' book!

Great picture Bill. I can hear the gulls!
