Description
We had a rare snow today (again) here in Memphis, and this time it was on a weekend! So Julia & I hit the road with cameras in tow.
First stop was the newly rejuvenated Buffalo herd located at Shelby Farms. The herd has been here for about 20 years, but it wasnt a very large herd and they were in desperate need of some new blood. Seems they were all starting to look alike!
Well, recently another herd of 28 buffalo were introduced to our existing herd, and after a little head butting all is well.
And here they were earlier this afternoon, waiting out the snow storm.

That's a great photo. Reminds me of a magical time many years ago, when I saw Yellowstone in the Winter. Had a blizard then too.
