Very good modelling and render.

Magnificent model - you must have infinite patience.

cool model - great render.

The modeling in this is beyond impressive, it's so amazingly detailed. Plus it's a very plausible design, this this the kind of thing we actually could build, if we wanted to... Excellent work! And, yeah, I agree that Bryce is still getting sadly neglected. I suppose DAZ probably makes alot more money on Poser, but it seems like such a shame that Bryce languishes.

Awesome detail and design, well worth the full size viewing. Nice work, I'd like to see it in a space scene with the thrusters powering it through the universe!

Superbly detailed model, beautifully rendered :)

Always outstanding. I find it particularly interesting that you are using B5.5 for the assembly.

Bambam131 (David), I am alway impressed at your level of detail in your modeling. Anytime I try to create with that massive number of objects and polygons my computer takes forever to render. Or at worst freezes up and then crashes the program. I too have to go between Bryce 6.1 and 5.5. I'm working on a new Mac using the latest version of the OS. I've had so may problems with lose of Bryce functionality that I finally called DAZ tech support to see what was up. Here's what I was told. At present there is no plains to update Bryce. DAZ has updated Studio and Carrara. Carrara is the software that they would like us to use. I got a copy of Carrara from a friend. I thought that it was clunky at best. You just can't beat Bryce's GUI when it comes to building a world. If DAZ updated Bryce with vector modeling, better texture mapping and optimized the software for the newer OS's that are out there, they would have a winner. You and other Bryce user's continue to show the 3D world that Bryce is still a relevant program. I just wish DAZ could see that.

Excellent modeling! The detail on the subsections is just amazing. And if DAZ has no intention of updating the product, they should sell it. I've owned Carrara for as long as I've owned Bryce (9 years) and I quickly gave up on Carrara - mostly because their Boolean kept crashing and the interface --especially the shaders was not intuitive). I feel like an old WordPerfect and Quatro Pro user (which I was) -- better products killed by neglect and market share. If DAZ isn't going to do anything with Bryce, hopefully there's someone out there that will buy it and fix. Though ironically, given what I said above, not Corel. They never did much with Bryce either.

Brilliant work, David. Your designs and modeling skills just keep getting better and better. Amazing details on this one. 10++ stars.

Hey Bambam, Don't know if you remember me. It's been awhile. After checking around on the Bryce numbers. V.5.5 can be downloaded for FREE at Cnet Downloads. It has nearly 700,000 users, just from Cnet alone. I would say from what I have found, there could easily be over 1 million Bryce users. This should make it imperative, to improve the latest version of Bryce, IMO. I find myself angered, that I paid for Bryce 5.5, only to find it being given away free elsewhere. But, I have always been most upset with Bryce's inability to handle larger files, ever since Bryce 4. ANyhow, great USS Cumberland. As always, you pour on the realistic details and the artwork comes alive. Keep yer suit dry and watch out for space junk.
