Description
Captured 2/28/09, very early in the morning, about 1.25 miles/2.01 kilometers from my languid lodge.
Sneak factor: zero.
I was originally going to make this one of three photos in a collage of the same species, but felt that would detract from its singular impact.
And, I place this in the mystery flower category until one or more of the gracious horticultural connoisseurs in the audience can tell me/us what species it represents, and then I'll change the title. I could spend time researching through my one and only floral book for its identification but really don't have the time or incentive to do so.

Okay, petunia it is! That didn't take long for our resourceful botanical bon vivants to come forward and identify this. Thank you so very much for being out there!
