Description
Third in a series captured on film October 1988 at the Hot Air Balloon Festival, held annually in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This photo would not have been possible without the background cloud effect. I had originally intended to reduce the contrast and brighten up the image, but, after some deep consideration, I just left it as it was.

the glowing clouds have a sort of post-apocalyptic feel...great shot! Do you have any where you were hanging off the bottom of the balloon? Just checking... :)

What a great place to fly a hot air balloon. These type of conditions are among the more difficult for photography. Like the way the four balloons are silouetted against the clouds. Glad you are able to resurrect these older photos.
