Drow mermen? Sure, why not. I'm obsessed, what can I say? So, as soon as Lost Realms for M4/H4 came out over at DAZ I had to snag it. And for a change, instead of letting my new acquisition languish in my runtime for a year before getting around to using it, I loaded it up pretty darn quick. So, what else do we have here... Our finny friend is wearing the Shades of Atlantis Cobalt Hierophant top and bracers by Luthbel (DAZ), with the purple texture set from the add-on pack Shades of Atlantis: Arcane Brotherhood by Arien (DAZ). The skin texture is Daio's Dark Lord texture (DAZ), and the head morph is a combination of that set and NT Newt by vikike176 and tendom (Rendo). I really enjoy experimenting with V4 head morphs on M4/H4 as I can get some interesting looks. The body morph is from the set Bad Boys for M4 by Skyewolf (DAZ). The pose is from InfinityRain and Digiport's new Merman Poses, now being sold at DAZ. The set has 28 poses for M4, plus 28 poses for the tail. The poses run the gamut of action/combat, general swimming, to posing on a beach or a rock. Lighting was simple - three distance lights set to different colours (blues and purples), with just the front one having the shadows turned on. The caustics were created in a freebie caustics generator and applied as a layer in Photoshop to add some interest behind the character.

What i like about this drow skin is the tones and highlights... People tend to just make drow dark, or inky skinned, flat lifeless. But that is not how skin works. And i have really just started to appreciate somwe of the drow textures that have come out. Daio's is one of the better ones. And Nieman puts out one of the better sets also. What you did with the skin sheen is simply amazing!
