Description

I find that flies still get trapped in these pitcher plants even though they are dead and dried!

lots of energy & motion in this shot, your angle makes the leaves/petals jump out at us, and the basket underneath makes another layer of motion & energy. A bursting shot, and considering that this is an insect-eating plant (or insect-catching, at least) the energy is formidable. Strong capture, and I like the background mat it's on...looks like some kind of S. American weave, Incan, Peruvian, some Native culture; but who knows, it could be any number of things. Really nice shot & pov.

What an amazing display, I have only seen these plants in books. The "blooms" are so pattered and impressive even dried!

Stunning and strange creation, both of mother nature and you. Did not know that these flowers were so beautiful when dried. never seen them myself, but as a fly i am attracted, even if I stay at a distance :-)
