Description
I have to be investigated by all the free running chickens when I go to the nature reserve.
They live in a small farm beside the entrance.
When any car pulls up to open the gate, they think there could be a free snack. Several visitors throw them a few bits, I had some wild bird mixed seeds in the car so gave them a handful. While they ate I fired a few shots, I thought this head on view of a cockrel with his tail plumes behind made an interesting snap.

We townies love hens and roosters too, especialy with veggies :)...Like this head on view Kevin, the DOF works very well.

Of all the chickens I've seen, and I've seen some strange and exotic ones, it is the plain white leghorn and this one that are my favorites for charm and guts. :-) Fabulous shot.

Awesome image It reminds me of going out to my grandparents farm every Sunday when I was little So I thank you for the memory.....was a great time back then...but now most of my older relatives and my parents as well are passed away...so seeing this made me think of when I was little and how the chickens would scare me when I went to to the henhouse to get their eggs and make mud pies with my cousin under the pine tree and play house LOL Going to my favs.........Nice to meet you as well Hope you come visit me as well sorry about the novel....sometimes I get on a roll LOL Susan~
