Description

Captured 2/28/09, around 7:15 AM, about 1.3 miles/2.1 kilometers from my archaic abode. These are the same glass blocks I photographed on 2/19/09, this time looking directly into the rising sun -- a substitute for the currently popular flashlight technique. The unit sits atop a square rock pillar that forms the end section of a wall, adjacent to a driveway. Check it out full size. Thankx for the peek, and have a high-impact hump day.

What a great illusion-like shot. The light is caught in different areas and I bet it moves when you do. It kind of reminds me of fractal art. I like it!

You are letting the sun paint these blocks with its golden glow...quite a handsome sight.

I'd love to have a house constructed entirely out of glass blocks. Yessir!

Wow, that's a GREAT capture, Harry! I love the light swirling through the glass in distorted shapes... I might have even cropped out the right side showing the driveway, but that's just me. Excellent work!

Great capture Harry, you let a sun do the work for you. Lovely play with a light.

MrsRatbag: I followed your perceptive suggestion and cropped the right edge of the image, and it does look better. Thank you.

That fence must have been there a long time... these were real popular back in the fifties and sixties. Nice shot, Harry, with the light accentuating the glass patterns!
