Description

Captured 2/19/09, very early in the morning, about .80 miles/1.287 kilometers from my lackluster lair. Many of you like weird subject matter so I thought I'd toss this into the mix. Okay, gross maybe, but this isn't as disgusting as you think. Pictured above is a confluence of residue -- probably a mix of rust and rainwater, although it could be from some dead creature -- that had streamed down from an overhead drain pipe on the side of the south wall adjacent to the stairs leading up to the Interstate 5 freeway overpass that I posted pics of on 2/19/09. How do you like that for a long sentence? Pardon the pun, but this is really off-the-wall stuff! Anyway, the texture of the wall is interesting...the paint or underlying concrete resembles oatmeal that had congealed into a very rough surface. Kind of sloppy work IMHO. Thankx for looking in, and have a trenchant Tuesday.

I know this is above water and the sun is shining but for some reason this reminds me of RMS Titanic rusting away. If you could see runoff from the old ship...bet this is what you'd see. What an eye and love your imaginative title.

Wow, a found abstract... makes me wonder what support has rusted this much, and what's left holding it all up. Kind of a scary thought...but an excellent set of captures!
