Description

Hello ! Have just been playing around with an old drawing of a back yard of a little town in Funen, Danmark. I used the drawing on a peace of a painting and this and that :-) Thanks for your kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks to those who added it to favorites. I really apreciate it. :-) Have a great day. Here we have grey weather with wind, but not snow.

I can see your drawing technique, that wonderful free way you have of piling up masses, and expressing nature in the simplest strokes of the pen/pencil/brush. And your composite is kind of what Warhol did: bringing out many characteristics from a single painting or print, and accentuating them with his postwork. You've made some sections bristle, others quietly recede, you've done an improvisation/variation on many of its sections; and your colors—from ambers on one side to pale violets on the other—really divide this up into the 2 natural sections of the original(s). I even like your simple horizontal lines in your tree trunks: Drawing at its most elemental, yet just expressive enough to speak as a tree. This is really vital work, Helle. I love it. (I'll catch up with more next time around...how nice to come back here again!)
