Description
Situated at the point where Loch Duich and Loch Long join to form Loch Alsh, Eilean Donan is a typical Scottish castle and had a part to play in the Jacobite rising of 1745. It looks particularly scenic here, backlit by the evening sun in mid summer.

A very nice shot. It gives it a really imposing power over the landscape. Yet it sits within it beautifully.
