Description
after the successful 'koffiepot' project, we started a new one: time travel.
on the right at the bottom you see the numbers (up till 1 million) with the grey axle with + and - : this is for choosing the year by adding or substracting the difference. there is a handle for this, but this is in a cupboard until the 'moment supreme'
to the right there is a knob with a 3 digit number under it - this is to choose the day in the year you choose.
to the left of this is the hours scale (not very precise yet, but who cares)
above this is the red light as a warning when the machine is operated.
now we get to the switches on the left which martin was wondering about - these have to be set before you can operate the years/days and hours on the right.
the start button is behind the red lid marked 'danger' on the right
the switch that is engaged is the airco switch.
the white switch is an ordinary light switch
the red button is the panic button - if anything goes wrong, you first look at the yellow card in the brown box, if that does not help (it probably won't as it says: if you are in real trouble, consult the orange card)you go to the orange one, which simply states: 'push the red button'.
after that there is no good solution and you have to revert to the cigarettes and the '4 heavens sake'(sake is a japanese beverage, so no advisory is needed) - there is a bottle of pills on the right - aspirin for the headache.
i was asked what the whistle was for, well, if all of the above does not work you can blow the whistle, which will not make any difference, but it keeps you occopied and gives you the idea you are still doing something. the candle is for when the light does not work.
any questions that may remain will be gladly answered by me.

My dear Mister Koosie, I'm glad to see that your imagination is so efficient! Could I freely try this time travel machine, as a tester, because I'd like to come back 3 minutes ago : I just lost my car kees, I don't know where, and I must go to my work... I'm late! Where are these kees?

great! I love your explanations, and the fact that you worked it all out to that degree. And I love it as a collage too, an abstract of buttons & gadgets & gauges of time & space & mood & need for headache medicine, etc. I love the architectural detail on many of your objects, drawn with precision yet with real deft humor...It's all a fantasy of the essentials one would need for the trip, fun, delicate and drawn with your usual care for detail & proportion. How you got all these into one drawing but didn't get an ounce of crowding I don't know—but it feels very relaxed to me. Terrific piece. I love it.
