Description

long time ago i played checkers - to make it more difficult we sometimes played it as if the left and the right side of the board were attached, so you actually played on a tube. i never tried that with chess, but i thought it would be nice to try that some tima and design a special, rotating board :-) (an image with chessmen looks much more interesting than a checkerboard)

I don't know if it works, but it certainly is a wonderful creation, Koosie. Looks very challenging to me. Let us know if management decides to market your idea. :)

You have the same humour than an artist called Carelman. Look at his objects on the web!

It is much more serious than usual game... Or a simple chess board. In a head it is necessary to represent all parts of a board.

you certainly have a flair for these "presentation sketches", you get just the right tone, just the right unruliness & order all at once, and just the right "this is just a sketch, whaddya think" feeling. Yet it's all worked out and drawn so deftly. Don't know how you do that, but you do. As for the circular board, I actually saw one—an artist friend designed one years back, and it was great to look at, though moving the pieces was a bit difficult due to that old curmudgeon "gravity". But it works much better as a drawing, and yours has wonderful detailing and all those features like the graph paper, the "copyright" notice (in partly transparent watermarking, you get it all Koosie!), the skewed handwritten notes, et al. You make art out of those elements. Great work. I'll order the first ones off the manufacturing line. (Just give me a discount...)

I'd go crazy. Great image and idea for an image - there is a 3d chess board, has three levels, but no clue how one moves. This'd be great on the space station.

You really should think bout subimtting your work to one of those companies that makes card; you know your work would have lots of good power to make some one smile if they received one in the mail frm a friend
