Description

The border hits you when you expect it less. New Mars was situated on the frontier between the Earth's empire and other galactic empires. Even if a non-authorized version described it as the A**hole of the Universe, actually it was a crucial lookout post. Most humanitarian aids passed through New Mars, bound to the small dependent worlds of the sector, but inside the great cargo ships there was also something else. Jay Sea had arrived at New Mars to discover what he could on a traffic of arm systems. One day he woke up tied to a rusty cogwheel in the dumping ground outside Bradburyton. Thus Jay realized that in some ruperts' minds, he had crossed the thin boundary between being an asset or a liability. Thank you to all people who appreciated the previous picture! Being burnt to a crisp by the searing sun, or eaten alive by space bugs is a nasty prospect. This humanatarian worker has just signed up for the school of hard knocks. Yep, it's tough out there! Cool render and idea!

Excellent! The introduction of JS! Very nice indeed! Looks like he's definitely rubbed some people the wrong way! Terrific scene! Great haze of sand and beautiful sky I love the hotel! It looks like a cross between a castle and a computer board. Very appropriate! Wonderful image and story!

You get the sense of danger that these intermediary zones possess, and the archetypal "free for all" that they seem to live by. When you spoke of humanitarian aid passing through, I thought "how much gets through," thinking of humanitarian aid in places on our planet as it gets intercepted by the corrupt forces of that country...And this Jay Sea enters, and wakes up as a prisoner & doesn't know of what. Nice job of whetting our appetites. I don't do 3D, so I can't really appreciate the labor in getting the details of a body right, and in coordinating its costuming (which I'm told is hard), but it seems you've done all that here in a complex pose where the clothing has to conform and flop and twist with the body. Very fine work, Flavia. And the color of the piece---mars red---along with Jay's helmet in the peach colored sands, and that strange terminal in the right distance certainly peaks our curiosity for what's to come. Your experience with imagery shows once more, and you've done a fine job illustrating the moment. And good job on the angle of Jay's suit, which I assume takes real effort to achieve, laying out on the sand as it does...
