Description

Time stands still for no man.... hmmm... or does it? Time is always relevant. Haven't you ever been working on something that seemed to take only a few minutes and when you checked your reality clock, you realized that perhaps an hour or two had passed. What you were doing during this period was meditating. So you see... you don't have to have a mantra, watch a candle flame or fade into nothingness to meditate. All you do is become fully focused in the moment and release your busy thoughts. As you practice your meditation, you will find yourself relaxing and every once in a while... just once in a while... you will sense that you are floating in the nothingness. That is when you have moved into the gap... that gap between each moment of time. Today is a good day for us to practice a new way of being. Today is a good day for us to practice the art of relaxation. As we begin our practice, we are working on establishing a new habit. At first we have to practice, then it becomes a habit and finally is becomes a way of being. Relaxing the mind and body helps us to open ourselves to our greater good... it helps us to realize that we can and will move into that space where our Greater Good is waiting for us. By practicing our techniques of relaxation, it will seem that the world around us has changed. Our surroundings haven't changed... we have... we have changed how we perceive our life experience... we have expanded the envelope our comfort zone. How divine. How simply divine. Our thought for the day is: 'Dreams are what get you started. Discipline is what keeps you going.' Quote by Jim Ryan May your day be filled with joy and peace and may your heart sing with love. © Gayle O This is a single flame created in Apophysis 3D Hack 2.08. The seed script for this flame was the spherical loonie foci script by parrotdolphin at Deviant Art. There were some tweaks by me. Post work was done in PSP. You can find the script here: http://parrotdolphin.deviantart.com/art/Spherical-Loonie-Foci-Scripts-113107025 Thank you for stopping by to share a moment in time with me. I appreciate you viewing my art and leaving comments on my images. Each one is like a precious jewel and that I will always treasure. I send a most heart felt thank you to those of you who have favored me as an artist or have favored one of my images. You make my world a little brighter and bring rainbows to my valley of life. What a wonderful gift to receive. May laughter and delight fill you to over flowing all the days of your life. Namaste.

what you say is very true--when i am fully absorbed in a task, i lose a total sense of time and even sometimes of my surroundings...when i was doing graduate work, i had tons to read, write, etc., and i was able to study just about anywhere and nothing could or would distract me--i heard and saw nothing around me...really strange when you think about it--it's like floating within the space time continuum...anyways, love your image's flowing design and its beautiful colors--always a joy to view your work ;)

Great image, wonderful words. How much could we achieve if we could tap into "the gap" at will?

Wonderful representation! I've always found that absorption in something you love does not require discipline, but remembering to keep an eye on the clock!!

An excellent comment about relaxation ! My old activity as computer system engineer had learned to me to be quiet, still and very concentrate...in a sort of relaxation, without which all problem is unsolved !!!

LOL I'm now losing days at a time rather than hours. That is good news. Time dissolves into Now. That is a beautiful image that reminds me of centering one's mind and feeling the warp speed drawing one into contemplation. Wonderful colors and movement in your image.
