Sometimes I have grand dreams
Where the world is a better place
Because of me
I step in the gap
For the people
Who are born without a voice
Without someone to care for them
Where I help hungry children
Get something to eat
Where older people
Can get there medicine
Sometimes I have grand dreams
Where I speak of peace
And people listen
The killing stops
Even for just a single day
Where everyone is a brother
And brothers help brothers
Sometimes I have grand dreams
But then the dreams are chased away
By the great and evil beast
Known as reality
