Description

The size of the original is 14x21 inch. Painted with Winsor-Newton watercolor paints on Arches cold press 150lb paper. (I only used 3 pigments in this painting - paynes gray, cobalt blue and indian red, plus a bit of blue and burnt siena inks) For a CG(Poser+Vue) version see thumb_1842315.jpg

You really must have excellent water colors, our most used in Germany are Pelikan, and this colors most fade out. So for me it never was much fun to paint with water colors. As always a very good work!!

Isn't it 'Twilight'? However you spell it, it looks kick-ass to me! I could never paint for diddly-squat even when I was big on 2D art, so I'm envious. You did really well on this.

It´s very interesting: it seems to me you draw the anathomy of the figure and after, you dress her with an almost transparent skin...and (i guess??)you do the same with the all painting..like all the painting was growing from an inside point.(forgive me my thoughts on comment and my terrible english, but i couldn´t help to tell you that, because i think this is very curious). Your watercolour underwater is very beautiful and a great artwork.

Thanks Joel - I fixed the spelling typo. (Although twiglight could be another image - a twig with inner light?:) )

Beautiful job Pnina. I especially like the way you've captured the likeness of the original, yet stayed quite true to your medium. Another example of what a wonderful watercolor artist you are!

i love how the boundaries between elements is less defined. i think your rendering of the water figure is incredibly skilled. it looks like you added water particles to the air, which i think is an interesting technique you seem to use a lot (bits of one of the environment in the other).
