Description

Sorry I didn't post an update for a while. I kinda broke the old computer. You know how it is. Anyway, thanks to everyone who commented before. It's still not finished. I've got to make a background, Put some twigs in the swamp, blend the swamp with the pillars of mud, Animate and a bunch of other things. Comments are, as always, always welcome.

I've been keeping an eye on this WIP since your first post, i can't remember if i've commented before, but if not i was just being tight, this is getting really really good. I'll give it a rating once you post a picture and say its finished. By the way have you played a PS2 game called ICO??

I like the point of view for this. Also, the golden light in the main building is very welcoming, and a great focal point.

Maybe you could make the rock the castles are on a little higher or a lot. Like that one at the end fo that James Bond flick, For your eyes only. I dunno, just a suggestion. Great pic anyway

This is fabulous so far. So, when and where can we see the animation? The stone textures are incredible.

Hi, first of all, thanks to anyone who posted. I'll try to answer some questions. 1. I have never played ICO. I saw it on a TV programme once. It looks pretty cool. I love games that have that kind of mystery (but there's nothing wrong with mindless shooting). I wish I had a PS2. 2. How many chapters? Not many more. I'm getting sick of it. 3. The tree was made using a simple mesh-smoothed base. I then made a realy low poly twig model with about 10 leaves on it. This was scattered over the tree (kinda similar to the grass that I described before). 4. The sign says 'Beware of the dog'. 5. The animation is a gonna take a while. I was thinking of giving away the cobbled texture (on the top of the bridge). If you want it, please tell me what would be the best way of doing this.

Please dont get sick of it... ;-) This is really one of the best pictures here. I can see the time you put into this...were not getting sick of the updates at all!! I imagine a ghostlike lady running over the bridge...long long robe ...almost see through dragging behind her...shes looking over her shoulder...a frightened look on her face...whats chasing her...is it a man ??...is it human at all...?? will she escape ?? wil she plunge into the deep??.....oeps...getting carried away here!!

I wished you would join one of the 3D art duels on ArtDuel, I would be so honoured to show this to all my duelling friends. This is the most imaginative 3D architecture of any kind that I have seen. I wish you would make an obj and/or 3ds version of the whole structure available in the store here. Something where we could use different pieces to create new castle structures - using your great imagination behind it. Incredible work - wonderful mind!! :-)
