Description

OK here's part 2 of my castle. Still a long way to go, but as people seem to have shown an interest, I thaught I'd post updates. I've mostly been texturing since the last post, but I'm still very interested in your comments. There is still loads of moddelling to do, like the bridge, top and background. Thanks for the help so far. Keep it coming.

I would have to say that that's some hella big grass there... Maybe make the grass blades thinner so that it enhances the aspect of the castles size more...

Very good, I think the grass is about the right size. It really looks more fantasyish that way. Only one thing, add some more bump on the castle's rocky walls. It looks a little bit to flat at the moment. Otherwise really nice...

Love the pic mate! I do agree with Grottroffe about the bricks, also, I know this is supposed to be a fantasy image, but i think u should tile the bricks abit more. More bump! Well done, cant wait to see the finished image!

YES! I love the cart added to the rope. Also the entrance at the bottom left of the castle and wooden posts extruding from the wall under the satelite dish are nice touches. I still don't like the satelite dish, or whatever it is but that's just my opinion I guess. The big brick texture I find is making the large walls look too perfect. What I mean is the fodls in the wall, the big lines these create now look too straight. If you look at the wall where it meets the background the lines are soo straight. looking better still then your last post if that's possible! Keep up the super work! can't wait to see more.

Yep, pretty cool, I would take the advice on the bricks, though! I like the grass just the way it is. I also like the satelite dish.

Nice work. Glad to see there's something behind those windows in the left tower now. Thanks for the explanation in the last post about the wave modifier to make the grass move in the wind! Is it possible to stack anything on top of a wave modifier to make it less uniform? Also how did you make the fog?
