Description

Philipi, Count Gullani's Reeve (estate manager), is showing Aeolia her new home. It is a small cottage next to a large lake bordering the Count's estate. He has started a fire and is making sure that she has everything she needs and gets settled in. Philipi could have sent some servants to do this task, but he is captivated by the half-elf and insist upon seeing to her needs himself. He will always treat her well and over the next two years falls in love with Aeolia. She likes him well enough, but most of her relations with men--be they elf or human--have always turned into sexual abuse no matter how nicely they began. Understandably, she prefers to avoid any new entanglements. Philipi is very much aware of Aeolia's history and is somewhat shy himself. He is resolved not to force his attention upon her. During the next two years, Aeolia learns to trust Philipi. Even though she likes his company and grows fond of him, Aeolia will not permit herself to love him. ___________________________ This part of Aeolia's story is really out of sequence. It should be just before that last part that I posted. Thanks for stopping by for a peek. Comments are appreciated. The interior detailing is fabulous. Great story too, but then it always is. I can imagine everyone sitting around a fire while you weave your tales. Would be much fun.

Lovely story. And a very cozy cottage by the likes of it. Too bad she's so jaded by past experiences. But then again, its a refreshing twist on what could be the usual cliche story.
