Beautifully balanced and with great contrasts, Nikolay. Stunning work.

Minimal information in your photo but that's what I like. I am guessing and probably wildly, this looks like a public passage way, therefore all the old handbills. Could this be a subway entrance? The only subway system I'm familiar with is the New York City subway and those entryways have remained the same for at least 100 years. A lot of handbills could go up in 100 years:) The yellow does add a springlike flavor. Nice.

agree with everyone, and I find Bill's comments just fascinating & rich. You never cease to make rich contrasts; the mostly 'empty' wall on the left is in such fine contrast with the laden wall on the right, filled with hand-bills and falling into shadow (as the wall itself seems inundated with decay and wonderful overload). There's even what looks like a pinkish light at the top of the right wall: Whatever it is, it provides a fine accent. And then your "third" section: the yellow wall. Even it has your usual interesting 'intruding' detail. This is wonderful, Nikolay: It has all the elements you capture so well; and because of the variety of detail, it never tires for us. It's spring-like and also timeless in a way. As Bill says of the NYCity subways, this has detail that looks like it hasn't changed in years, even though it may have. I love what you see through the lens, and how you present it to us...

THis is such an awesome photograph. almost abstract if you imagine it as onluy 2D. Beautiful yellow colors and the framing is perfect for it.

Nicely graphic colors and abstraction.

Yellow is a cheerful colour, but the contrast of that with the sad neglect in the urban landscape makes for a thought provoking compo.

Great contrast in your photo.A closed white blind window and an open and deep entrance in yellow, and we don't know anything more than this...and it may be lots of things!!I´m always impressed! because i think (and forgive me): if in a way you show us what you see, in another way, you "show" us thoughts to think about, and that´s it i like more!Another Great work.

Once again Nikolay --- You brought out the endless possibilities of the colour gray. Gray to me is the most forgiving colour. It stays patiently in the background whilst the brighter ones play the stage. gray stays gray the longest ... until it turns white ... until it turns black. Oh by the way ... That Bill Evans' song was indeed my inspiration : ) He uses the thickest, most beautiful chord changes, while playing the most haunting melody ... Yeah Nikolay --- Just like you'd paint a Ballerina in multi hued costume --- over gray my friend ... over gray. Respekt and endless inspiration as always, -Julian

what grabbed my eyes was the one ancient notice nailed to the yellow on the far right. And the fact that most of the notices had been scraped off the wall receding into the bright daffodil yellow wall. A strange study .. continues to draw me in ...
