Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I like this shot of treasures of the sea. Semi-wet, semi-confused. But nevertheless - beautiful. Great shot!

I wasn't aware there was such a thing... as way too many margaritas. :-) Love the courseness in the sand.

really nice Marilyn, a really nice feel to the colors & textures of these weather-worn pieces of wood. You caught a nice variety of things I only noticed in my life in passing. I keep looking at it, it draws me in...And lol at "I wasn't aware there was such a thing as way too many margaritas"! if I have just one, I'm speaking in tongues and dance on the tables. (I love drinks but I can't handle them. It's a cruel trick by my DNA...) It's nice to do "state of mind" shots, isn't it? This one feels just as you describe it, and I keep coming back to it. Very nice work, once more...

Your title tells me where you are and why. You've already got a couple of great comments here. You are speaking through your photo. So straight forward. And I've never even thought a photo could say so much before. A+ and/or gold star for you :)

Nice evocative shot, I love tidelines. And at least you've had the fun of the margaritas to blame for your feeling...I've spent the weekend mostly in bed feeling that way for NOT fun reasons!

Great textures! The detail of the sand is great against the bits of wood. Nice!
