Description

Hi there. Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I show you a Shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) - an impressive large stork-like bird. The adult is 115-150cm tall and reaches a wingspan of 2,30-2,60m. They preying on fishes, turtles, carrion and even baby-crocodiles. It's a n imposing bird - he stood there totally still and some of the visitors thought it's a statue. The shot is not as sharp as possible - that's life *g*.

These latest bird specimens are a variety I have never seen before- particularly this hammy subject! What a beak! it must be 20 percent of his body weight! You have access to a birdpark of remarkable diversity and these captures are quite a tour! Very cool!
