Description
Hi there.
Today another large bird - Victoria Crowned Pigeon (Goura victoria) - the most favoured bird of my daughter.
They reach approximately a length of 74cm and a weight of 2,5kg. Crowned Pigeons could be found in the swamp forests of New Guinea. Their meal consists fruits, figs, seeds and invertebrates.

Pidgeons over here in the U.S. certainly don't look like this! Here they are considered "flying rats" and are a nuisance-- this guy almost looks related to a Peacock with its rather flamboyant head feathers. Cool capture!
