Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

How cool is this?! I get it...you go to the homes of your friends/relatives to help them get organized, declutter, clean up, throw out, etc., ...then you get to bring something precious home and add it to your collection. Who do you call???

LOL! Why am I not at all surprised? And besides their obvious beauty as sculptures they could come in very handy as weapons of defense OR attack!

So how are the spheres displayed? Hanging? on some sort of stand or embedded in the dirt. And what was used to adhere the glass to it? I have thought of this before but couldn't get past the many decisions to make before starting.

Talk about a hole in one...but that's a different sport. Actually, I don't have a front yard; a patio, yes, but that's about it. Stellar reflective lighting effects to bring out the pearly textures on the bowling ball, Maz. Looks like it was rolled down the alleys a ton of times.

I don't know anybody else with a bowling ball in their yard. :) I love it!

Now that garden/yard has everything...lol I won't be surprised if you post the bowling pins... Aloha

great! I don't know anyone else with a bowling ball in their yard either---this is so typical of the wonderful menagerie you have in your life. It's such a neat concept, and it's a cool photo too. Your place & your friends' places feel like art-galleries-of-life, it's but one reason your offerings here are so great. "Bowl on, duuuuuude!" (Yeah, I had a friend who said that alot.) I love this shot.
