UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful work, Bill.... if you hadn't mentioned that it was a manipulation, this would be totally believable!!
babuci
Oh this is cool. Great action on high speed.
bronwyn_lea
Ohhh, this is great. I really like what you did with this. I enjoy jets and you made them fit quite well with the background.
beachzz
What a great job. Reminds me of when I used to go to the river and these jets would fly low over the canyon, and usually make another run to check us out (did I mention we were skinny dipping???!!)--we'd wave and they'd dip their wings!!
goodoleboy
Yeah, like the Corsair is going to chase down the F-18...fat chance, especially with the propeller stuck in no spin. Other than the prop/engine problem, and a seeming lack of aircraft shadows on the cool waters below -- maybe it was too cloudy that day -- this is really a great and imaginative composition, Bill.
auntietk
LOL! That Corsair is just kicking butt! :) I love your sense of humor ... this is great!

I must remind goodoleboy that old and devious beats youth and speed 9 out of 10 times! As if he didn't know :-)
artaddict2
impressive manipulation!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I first opened this, I thought it was real! It was only when I started reading, the illusion was shattered! The ONLY thing that gives it away, is the lack of 'shadows' on the water. But who the hell cares! A STUNNING IMAGE! Straight to Faves! You will have your own folder soon, mate! Rob.

Fun photo!

Wonderful work. Yeah, a gorgeous lake with only one fighter plane is just SO. Um. Ordinary? Hehe.
