BIO
I went to Edinburgh College of Art in the seventies. I wove tapestries for years and paint in oils. I like photography, learning classical guitar and lacemaking. I enjoy cycling, walking, reading, films.

Not an expert, but it looks like a form of Locust, but they are usually in a swarm, maybe a rougue?..and yes chomping thru everything is a locusts plan in life:)...Neat capture!

Great capture. Like PD154 says, locusts keep eating. Check the first pic in Wikipedia under "locust," looks like the female. Lucky you.

yeah, I know who he is: He's a friend and he owes me 5 frickin' bucks. (Ok, stupid joke.) I have no idea what he is, but it's a vivid and teeming shot of branches, leaves, lines, leaning verticals, and some fine saturated reds. As for the insect, most people seem to think he's a locust. You want another suggestion? A really small bear. No? (A large ameba. Ok not funny...) I love the shot & the rhythms, and the insect sits there so entrenched, it's almost conceivable he's been there all winter. A very vivid shot, I really like it.
