Description
This dedication is for a very dear friend of mine Marcia Gomes (MarciaGomes). Marcia and her husband Flavio Kern are truly wonderful people and almost like family to me. Marcia is a very caring lady and it shows in the lovely images she creates. Her art always has a happy and postive theme, and her gallery is a great place to go for a good time. This is a story Marcia shared with me from her childhood that I wanted to share with all of you my friends. With all the negative news everywhere it's nice to have something happy to focus on.
Rodeo Queen (For MarciaGomes): When Marcia was a little girl her and her dog Gaby would walk by her aunt's home every day on their way home. She loved the beautiful horse that her aunt had and she dreamed one day of riding it. But poor Marcia was by herself and had no way of making her dream come true. Late one evening Marcia saw the horse had a bridle on and she got a great idea. Her and Gaby went into the pen and she tied the bridle of the horse to the fence. Carefully Marcia climbed a tree next to the horse, she had a great idea of leaping from the tree onto the back of the horse. Then she would be able to ride him and make her dream come true. I tried to capture that moment here and hope you like it. Okay so you want to know what happened ? Well Gaby started barking and scared the horse just as Marcia was jumping. The horse moved and poor little Marcia tumbled to the ground. Thanks for listening, hope you got a smile.

P.S. I know Marcia would want me to say this but we are both very sad about Cecilia (SSoffia) leaving the communtiy. She wrote me a letter the other day to tell me that a few people had been very mean to her and she no longer felt comfortable here. It is a sad day when someone that nice no longer feels welcome. I am trying to talk her into staying and hope you will join me.

As soon as I saw the picture, I started laughing. What a wonderful image and story. I will join you in asking Cecilia to stay. I do not understand why any one would want to be so mean to make someone leave a place where there are so many good people...just like you.

Wonderful image. I hope she didn't get hurt in her little adventure. Awesome poses on all three of them!!! Thank you for sharing the story that goes with the image. Dave you might want to tell Cecilia to tell the Admins at Renderosity they do not allow people mistreating others on this site. I had an some people harassing me last year and they took care of the problem and I have not been bothered since!

Oh Dave I just love this. I remember trying something similar myself. Didn't work out real well for me either. hahaha I hope you can Cecilia to stay. I don't know her, but in the words of Michael Jackson when he still had a nose, Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch girl... or maybe it was Donny Osmond. MMMM I always get them confused. At any rate you just have to ignore some people, but there are so many great people here.

Well, it certainly seemed like a good idea at the time. And what could possibly go wrong? Ouch! If you ask me though, judging by the smirk on the horse's face, she planned this little surprise for Marcia all along. She waited patiently as Marcia took her time climbing the tree. And then, when the big pay off was at hand, the horse casually stepped aside just at the last second. So clever. Gabby's outburst was a last second warning to Marcia that things were about to go wrong. Too late though. I hope Marcia didn't suffer much broosing, save perhaps her pride. What is it with little girls and horses? I'm told that my sister once tried to climb onto a horse when she was about Marcia's size. The horse was unamused by the little interloafer and proceeded to placidly walk, which forced Chris to jump off. The horse then stopped, and Chris tried to climb back on again. The horse would walk again and Chris would have to let go again. Etc, etc, etc...

I can never get over the magnitude of your amazing illustrations and using the MILL KIDS - you alone, are reason enough for the next generation to be done! I am so grateful to you about them and I wish you would send your works to Daz3d to let them know, that the milkids are not dead, but alive, kicking, laughing, playing, having a good ol'time as young children should be. You AlWAYS bring all those who eagerly look forward to your next work, back to their child hood. Making those that had one like this, remember it cherishing the good times that they knew and had, and those who didn't have such a childhood smile at the antics you illustrate, giving them a taste of it by what they see! In the words of Tina Turner, YOU'RE SIMPLY THE BEST - BETTER THAN ALL THE REST - BETTER THAN ANYONE - ANYONE I'VE EVER MET - HOOKED ON YOUR CHARM - HANG ON EVER WORD YOU SAY! This is why you TOP the charts here! This is why!

This is a wonderful piece of artwork Dave. You did a great job with her expression and also with the animals. The shadows looks fantastic and love the background. A wonderful tribute for Marcia. Excellent artwork my friend.

Spending a lot of time on my Grandfathers farm I know Marcia's desire but in a way she was lucky. As a little kid I was on a horse that bolted and I fell off and dislocated my hip... so as e-brink said, she may have been blessed by her puppy :-) Your picture had me smiling even before I read the story because I knew exactely what it was all about. Another gorgeous depiction of a magic childhood memory. As always it is worth the wait to see an image of such quality and a story to go with it.

this is so cute and your renders always make me smile. i'm sorry to hear about your friend not feeling comfortable here, i've had a couple of things said to me,but so far they've sent it to my site mail. people who want to hurt others are just so unhappy them selves, and i try to look over them as your friend shold do. i hope she changes her mind and not be bullied out of rendo.
