Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

The first twigs and buds of spring. They look inviting but the old post really adds to the picture! Now, I am heading off, honest:)

My most favourite fruit of all! I grow the lates, so I cut the canes down last month to the ground, the new ones are just showing.

Are they difficult to grow? I have thought of it but my impression is they are tempermental like blueberries. Does this have thorns? I took out all the blackberries because they were the type with thorns and I kept getting injured when I'd weed the garden.

I like raspberries, the fruit I mean, not the lips-induced derisions of contempt. Anyway, better than Rasputins I always say.

Great shot ... i love the composition!

yes, the composition is very expressive. The old post/fence wall, etc., really adds power & beauty to the buds. And that's a really interesting tree in the background...but it's California, not Illinois, we don't see growth like that around here...I wish your raspberries a fine spring, hope you have lots of good fruit. I honestly didn't know how they grew, they must look beautiful when red spreads all over the branches...Enjoy them & thanks for sharing their "tender" moments with us...
